10 Oct 2024 Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. und Teva Neuroscience, Inc.Teva: USD 450m settlement over copay support and price fixing as kickbacks USAGifts, hospitality and benefits €411.6m

Teva pays USD 450 million to resolve two sets of allegations under the Anti-Kickback Statute and the False Claims Act; the amount was based on its ability to pay. First, from 2006 to 2017 Teva allegedly funded Medicare copays for the MS drug Copaxone through two purportedly independent foundations and a specialty pharmacy while steadily raising the price; second, benefits from price fixing with other generic manufacturers (pravastatin, clotrimazole, tobramycin), for which Teva USA had already entered into a criminal DPA with USD 225 million, were treated as unlawful kickbacks.
