17 Dec 2025 Juventus Football Club S.p.A.CONSOB fines Juventus €190,000 for market manipulation through its accounts €190,000
The CONSOB (Italian securities regulator) imposed a fine of EUR 190,000 on Juventus Football Club S.p.A. under Art. 187-quinquies of the Consolidated Law on Finance (TUF) because market manipulation within the meaning of Art. 187-ter TUF and Art. 15 MAR committed in its interest was attributed to it. According to the findings, the financial statements for 30 June 2020 and 30 June 2021 and the related announcements contained false or misleading information, including on gains from reciprocal player transfers, on deferred salary payments and on buy-back agreements. The decision is not final.
Dressing up financial figures through reciprocal deals or side agreements is market manipulation, for which the company itself is also liable.
