Online broker TradeStation Securities, Inc. of Florida is paying USD 1,110,661 under a settlement with OFAC for 481 apparent violations of multiple sanctions programmes. According to OFAC's findings, following several failures in compliance controls, customers in Iran, Syria and Crimea were able to execute 481 securities trades worth a total of USD 4,442,645 via the mobile app between June 2021 and June 2022. OFAC treated the apparent violations as non-egregious and voluntarily self-disclosed and credited significant remedial measures; the base penalty was USD 2,221,322.
