19 Dec 2024 Autobutler ApSAutobutler: DKK 7m settlement over fixed prices agreed with hundreds of garages €938,174
The car repair booking platform Autobutler ApS is paying a fine of 7,000,000 DKK under a court settlement before the Sø- og Handelsretten (Danish Maritime and Commercial High Court). In June 2023 the Konkurrencerådet (Danish Competition Council) had found that from at least March 2016 to October 2021 Autobutler agreed fixed prices for specific services in specific periods with several hundred garages; Autobutler had challenged that decision in court.
Platforms that set or coordinate prices for their providers can themselves be party to a prohibited price-fixing agreement.
