Crédit Agricole CIB concluded a CJIP (convention judiciaire d'intérêt public, French deferred prosecution agreement) with the Parquet national financier (PNF, French national financial prosecutor) over suspected aggravated laundering of aggravated tax fraud through dividend arbitrage (cum-cum) and pays a public interest fine of 88,247,869 EUR. Including the taxes, interest and penalties paid in the tax proceedings, the prosecutor puts the overall sum at 134,432,437 EUR; the agreement was validated on 8 September 2025.
